Nanosciences cover a wide multidisciplinary domain (chemistry, physics, biology, ...). We aim at making progress in elaboration, observation, handling, assembly and modeling of inorganic, organic and biological nanostructures and nanodevices, in order to take best advantages of their properties. These fundamental approaches are closely linked to nanotechnologies, which are high level technology tools for making and characterizing nanostructures and their applications.

The impact of nanosciences and nanotechnologies in society is to grow exponentially, especially in communication, medicine, materials. C’nano Nord Ouest will strengthen synergy between inter-regional stakeholders in order to allow new applications to merge in the 2015 perspective.
